The General Micro Systems "Da Vinci" Ultra High Video Graphics PMC Module is a
high-resolution video display and graphics module
for embedded systems that are equipped with PMC
(PCI Mezzanine Card) expansion slots. Supporting
display resolutions of up to 1280 x 1024 with 16 million
colors, the GMS PMC Video features a 64-bit BitBLT
graphics engine equipped with either two or four
Mbytes of RAM.
The General Micro Systems PMC VGA "Da Vinci" Video Graphic Board is a standard sized PMC module that is designed to support Windows NT, QNX, and Real I/X operating systems. The PMC VGA Video Graphic board “Da Vinci” is attached to a PMC compliant board using an SVGA Connector (DB-15 Female). The board itself can be installed in a standard PMC slot that supports a +5 Volts interface.
The PMC VGA "Da Vinci" features a CL-GD5446 VisualMedia Accelerator, which is a 64-bit DRAM based SVGA controller with hardware-accelerated BitBLT, video playback, and up to 4-MB RAM. The CL-GD5446 features a 64-bit GUI BitBLT engine with double-buffered, memory-mapped control registers. Transparency is supported with color expansion for all color depths, and supported without color expansion for 8 and 16- bpp graphics mode.
