RS-670-4 Interface Technology Digital Word Generator

The Interface Technology RS-670 Digital Word Generator can program any type of waveform or generate complex clocking signals using the Model RS-670. There are two unique timing entry modes that no other generator offers. Timing Simulation allows non-periodic waveforms to be created by entering only the time value between transitions. This saves memory space and reduces entry time. Additional power and flexibility are added with the ability to enter different clock periods for each data table. The output data signal tracks this without any discontinuity.

The RS-670 provides three-level nested table looping for generation of complex clocking waveforms such as those used by Charge Coupled Devices (CCD). The data table concept is easy to set up and the output is easy to visualize. Extremely deep data patterns can be generated due to a 4095 loop counter at each level and for each data table.

The Interface Technology RS-670 is modular in nature, and supports two 32-channel output/tristate cards. In the serial mode, each card provides 128K bits of data to simulate long data transmissions, or all 32-channels can be used in parallel.
