The GET Engineering ATDS PCI Interface Adapter allows the user to interface an ATDS Serial Data Terminal Set ( DTS ) or Tactical Data Computer ( TDS ) Computer with a 32 bit 5 Volt PCI bus computer. The ATDS/PCI adaptor occupies only one standard short PCI slot. The ATDS/PCI provides an ATDS serial data path between the PCI and the ATDS device. The PCI BUS interface consists of a 'Plug-and-Play' 32 bit path with programmable Interrupt and DMA channels. The ATDS/PCI features a custom PCI Bus interface controller which provides the data path between the PCI Bus and the ATDS/PCI onboard registers and interface sequencer logic. The ATDS channel interface is software configurable to support DTS or TDS operation, with or without Sidetone interface support. Data frames of 13.33 and 22.00 milliseconds are supported. Data recirculation testing is performed on all data frames. Additionally, the interface can be configured to operate as the Data Network Controller Station ( DNCS ). The ATDS/PCI allows the programmer to write special software which uses the resources of the PCI Computer and software drivers to emulate and control ATDS devices.
