The Measurement Computing / ComputerBoards CIO-DAS16/330 is designed for applications requiring only analog input with very high throughput at a reasonable cost. Data transfers may be direct to system memory or to a very large FIFO buffer, the MEGA-FIFO. The CIO-DAS16/330 is the ideal solution for higher speeds than 100KHz and less than 1MHz.
The CIO-DAS16/330i is two architecture on one A/D board; standard DAS-16 registers and extended registers. To maintain compatibility with existing DAS-16 software, such as Labtech, SnapShot and Language Drivers, a complete set of DAS-16 (CIO-DAS16) registers exist at BASE + 0 through BASE + 15. When in Compatible Mode, the CIO-DAS16/330i behaves as a CIO-DAS16 (DAS-16G) would with the exception of much faster sample rates. A second set of registers exists at BASE + 16 through BASE + 24. In addition, a special register at BASE + 11 opens up when the CIO-DAS16/330i in in enhanced mode.
