The Enterasys / Cabletron Matrix 6E233-49 High-Density Switching Module is a next-generation switched Ethernet module for the Matrix E6 and Matrix E7 chassis.
Providing 48 full-duplex capable Ethernet ports and one high-speed interface module (HSIM) slot, it is ideal for environments that require high-density / high-performance Ethernet switching with flexible integrated connectivity to diverse LAN or WAN backbones such as Gigabit Ethernet, ATM or Frame Relay.
The Enterasys Matrix 6E233-49 High-Density Switching Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
