Chrislin Industries CI-VME40 High-Speed DRAM VME Module Overview

The CI-VME40 is a high-speed DRAM board with dual-port interfaces to the VME and VSB Busses. The CI-VME40 is optimized for Block Transfer Cycles yielding a bus transfer up to forty megabytes per second. The memory module, with cycle and access times as low as 84 nanoseconds and 25 nanoseconds during block cycles, is an excellent choice for high-speed DMA and dedicated data acquisition devices that require maximum memory transfer rates into dual-ported memories. The CI-VME40 fully supports the current VME and VSB bus specifications. Flexible address selections allow the CI-VME40 to be placed into any VME/VSB environment. The module uses 16Mbit technology DRAM chips allowing low power requirements of 2A (typical) at +5 volts.
