The EIES-IV Guardian Controller, powered by electron impact emission spectroscopy (EIES), significantly improves the reproducibility of film quality during fabrication of CIGS films. The system operates one or two sensors, up to 8 optical inputs and controls up to 8 deposition sources, enabling co-deposition of up to 8 materials.The unique Guardian EIES sensor measures deposition rates more accurately without interference from residual gases while monitoring CIGS processes. Its Windows®-based software provides easy setup and operation of multi-material thin film deposition processes. The EIES-IV Guardian's ability to control co-deposition of up to 8 materials, at rates from 0.1 to 10,000 ?/s, make it ideal for applications such as MBE, fabrication of OLEDs, superconducting thin films, and photovoltaics.
The Inficon EIES-IV Guardian Thin Film Deposition Controller may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
