CVI Melles Griot 13AMP003 Large Dynamic Range Amplifier Overview
Features:
- Nine Gain Settings from 10 ohm to 1 Gohm
- Ensures Accurate Detection from 1 pA to 100mA
- 3½-Digit Backlit LCD
The 13 AMP 003 large-dynamic-range amplifier is a general purpose current amplifier for use with photodiodes and other detectors in applications requiring the transimpedance configuration. The compact unit converts current signals from a detector to a voltage while maintaining a constant zero bias across the detector independent of the signal amplitude.
There are nine gain settings available ranging from 1 Gohm to 10 ohm. This permits accurate detection of signals from as low as 1 pA to 100 mA. The amplifier contains a 3½-digit backlit LCD, providing direct readout of the photocurrent as well as range setting and battery status.
Additional features of the amplifier include offset adjustment to null background readings, a BNC signal monitor for utility purposes, and a rear-panel banana jack connection allowing the amplifier to be connected to earth ground. Rechargeable AA-size nickel-cadmium batteries provide a minimum of eight hours of portable operation. The unit can also be operated from a wall-mounted plug-in power supply which simultaneously charges the internal battery pack.

What Customers Are Saying
- Young L.
Artisan isn’t just a supplier with inventory. Their engineers helped diagnose a problem over the phone that would have taken us weeks to figure out!
- Arvind P.
We have some test equipment in our lab from the 1990's that stopped working about 2 years ago. It sat in the corner collecting dust, but we took on a project last month that required more machines. After talking to Artisan, we found out we could get parts to fix our machine for much less than buying a new one!
- Dongmin K.
Fast shipping on replacement parts we thought we’d never find!
- Karen C. Google
I find the employees helpful and knowledgeable about their products.

Fantastic company with great people! We are lucky to have them in Champaign!
- Neo Google
Contacted Artisan for hard to find that has been out of circulation for nearly a decade. Their rapid response and availability exceeded all other suppliers. They supplied the part overnight to an out of state facility which allowed us to repair our equipment successfully. Well packed electronics. Well stated and professional documentation. I work with a hundred different suppliers any day of the week in my profession. Artisan remains at the very top of the bookmark tab. Thanks so much.
