Description
The MCV6 is a 6U VME module designed for embedded use in chassis and workstations. As the first member of Mercury's RACE family of products, the MCV6 offers true scalability, configurability, and real-time determinism in an open architecture. System developers can configure the optimal solution without restructuring their applications to fit a rigid architecture.

Mercury Computer Systems RACE MCV6 Multicomputer System Module Overview

The upshot of Mercury's high standards for design and manufacturing is that the environmental specifications for RACE commercial products exceed those required for many rugged-environment applications.
The MCH Series motherboards consist of the MCH6 and MCH9, which are 6U and 9U form factors, respectively, and have VME64 and RACEway interfaces. Mercury's RACE MCV Series motherboards can be combined with the MCH Series motherboards, allowing i860, SHARC, and PowerPC processors to be used in the same system (i860 processors are supported only by MCV Series motherboards).
The MCJ Series motherboards are available in 6U and 9U form factors, MCJ motherboards can be used with VME backplanes equipped with either single or dual-port RACE++ interlink modules attached to the VME P2/J2 backplane
The Mercury Computer Systems RACE MCV6 Multicomputer System Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
