Description
This unit has the MIX Baseboard Module attached to make it operate as a slave VMEbus board.
The Pentek Model 4271 Digital Receiver MIX Module is a general purpose digital receiver/tunable bandpass filter MIX module for VMEbus workstations and embedded systems. It accepts 12-bit data at sampling rates up to 70 MHz on 1 to 4 channels. Narrowband data is extracted from the wideband input by digital down conversion to a lowpass band. The low pass signal is then filtered and decimated.

Pentek 4271 Digital Receiver MIX Module Overview
Features:

- 32-Bit Bus Technology for VMEbus Systems
- Address Capability of 4 GB
This unit uses Intel's Modular Interface eXtension (MIX) technology to combine a Pentek MIX baseboard with three Pentek 4343 expansion modules, creating a triple-slot unit for 32-bit VMEbus systems. The MIX bus is a high performance stacking and communications interface to connect expansion modules to a VMEbus baseboard. Pentek and other manufacturers adopted this bus because of its speed, reliability and flexibility. This private bus allows not only for high-speed data transfers between modules, but also for extremely compact and reliable subsystem design. The Pentek model 4343 expansion module is a 2-channel A/D - D/A converter with DC - 192 kHz TTL levels.
The Pentek 4271 Digital Receiver MIX Module may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
